Asked Questions When can I check-in?Check-in
time is 4:00PM. Remember that another guest may be checking out at 10AM and housekeeping
needs time to make sure that your property is clean and ready for your arrival.
This time is not guaranteed in the summer months. When
do I check out?Check-out time is 10 AM. If you have keys, or a
pool pass, please return them to the office. If you leave before we open, just
put them in the green lockbox outside of our entrance. If your property is on
the keyless entry system, there is no need to stop by. During the summer months,
if you are going to depart early Saturday morning, please contact our office by
Friday so that housekeeping can get an early start. What
supplies will be in the property on arrival? A starter supply
is provided that includes toilet paper, Kleenex, bath soap, trash liners and a
few kitchen items. You may want to bring additional items with you or purchase
them upon your arrival. Are there beach supplies?We
provide you with 2 beach towels per bedroom. We ask that you launder these before
your departure. Beach chairs, umbrellas, etc. are available for rent or you can
bring your own. Are there linens and towels?All
beds will be made and a set of towels (2 bath, 1 hand, 1 wash) per person will
be left on the beds. We do not recommend sofas for sleeping, however if you are
planning to use one, then you will need to bring your bedding (pillows, blanket,
sheets) and extra bath towels. We will be happy to provide sleep sofa linens and
towels for you for an additional $25 fee for the week. A 72 hour notice is required
for this service. Is there a grill?Grills
are not a required item, so we cannot guarantee one for your use. If one is at
the property, it is your responsibility to supply the necessary items for grilling
(charcoal or propane). What are your additional
fees/charges?We have a $5 booking fee that is donated, in your
behalf, to the Charleston Aquarium for their Sea Turtle program. There is a $25
damage waiver fee and of course we have to collect taxes
. but that's it! What
if I accidentally break something or cause damage?Included with
your reservation is a damage waiver fee. Our policy requires you to report any
accidental damages to us and we'll repair the damage, up to $1000.00, at no charge
to you. Additional damage or malicious damage will not be covered. Is
there a Security Deposit?We do require a credit card imprint upon
check in for security purposes on all reservations. If you do not have a credit
card, you may be required to put down a cash security deposit. Is
there DSL?Most of our properties have a dial-up connection through
the telephone. Several of our properties do have DSL. There are also Internet
cafes on the island if you need DSL or wireless services. We cannot guarantee
this service at any location. Is there Maid Service?You
may request maid service but it will be at an additional charge. We will make
sure that your accommodation is ready for you on arrival and then clean it upon
your departure. Unless specified, all accommodations come equipped with a washer
and dryer for your convenience during your stay. Can
I heat the pool?Most of the private pools can be heated. If the
pool is not capable of being heated, this will be noted on your confirmation.
Complimentary heating of the spa is included in the rent of many of the properties.
Please be aware that there are some owners that do not include the heating of
the spa in their rental rate. There are also some spas that cannot be heated unless
the pool is heated, in which, you will need to pay to heat the pool/spa. What
if there is a hurricane?On rare occasion, we have been under a
mandatory evacuation in which everyone that is on the Island is required to leave.
If you are scheduled to arrive and the Island is under a mandatory evacuation,
the office will contact you to give you instructions. Please be aware you will
need trip insurance to protect your investment even in the event of a hurricane. Do
I Need Trip Insurance?Trip insurance is offered, at an additional
cost, when you book your reservation. A flyer is enclosed regarding coverage and
protection against unforeseen events such as illness or hurricane evacuation.
Where do we rent bikes, cribs and other equipment?You
can rent items such as bikes, cribs, high chairs, strollers and gates. We highly
recommend that you reserve any equipment prior to your arrival, especially in
the summer months. How long do I have
to stand in a grocery line on Saturday?LONG! Especially in the
summer months. We highly recommend using a grocery delivery so you can avoid lines
and relax immediately after check-in. Can
I bring my family pet?Pets are NOT permitted in our properties
unless specified a "Pet Friendly" accommodation. If we find a pet, we
will immediately cancel the reservation and occupancy of the property. All moneys
will be forfeit and an additional fee of no less than $250 will be applied against
the security deposit. Can I play tennis if court
time isn't offered with my property?Yes, there are four major racquet
clubs located on the island. The average cost to walk-on is $20/hour: Palmetto
