Sea Pines Plantation
Founded by Charles Fraser in the 1950's, the Sea Pines Resort is a nationally acclaimed community designed to coexist with its natural environment. Sea Pines Resort offers five miles of beachfront property and is made up of salt marshes, forest preserves and tranquil lagoons.
Sea Pines offers over 15 miles of bike paths lined with ancient live oak trees draped in Spanish moss. Along these paths you are likely to encounter a variety of wildlife including white tailed deer, an alligator basking in the sun or beautiful birds such as the snowy egret and blue heron.
Sea Pines Resort is also accessible to the general public, who can purchase a daily car pass. This $5 pass allows for access to the plantation where complimentary trolley rides take you to Harbour Town and its world famous lighthouse. Other attractions in Sea Pines include the South Beach Marina Village (home to the Salty Dog Café) and the Lawton Stables offering horseback rides through a 600-acre forest preserve.
