Sea Pines Plantation
Founded
by Charles Fraser in the 1950’s the Sea Pines Plantation
is a nationally acclaimed community designed to coexist
with its natural environment. Sea Pines Plantation
offers five miles of beachfront property and is made
up of salt marshes, forest preserves and tranquil
lagoons.
Sea Pines offers over 15 miles of bike paths lined
with ancient live oak trees draped in Spanish moss.
Along these paths you are likely to encounter a variety
of wildlife including white tailed deer, an alligator
basking in the sun or beautiful birds such as the
snowy egret and blue heron.
Sea Pines Plantation is also accessible to the general
public who can purchase a daily car pass. This $5
pass allows for access to the plantation where complimentary
trolley rides take you to Harbour Town and it’s world
famous lighthouse. Other attractions in Sea Pines
include the South Beach Marina Village (home to the
Salty Dog Café) and the Lawton Stables offering horseback
rides through a 600-acre forest preserve.
